Basicamente, existem dois tipos de patins. Patins de quatro rodas e patins em linha.
Patins de quatro linhas – De volta aos anos 80!
Os patins de quatro rodas são constituídos um pouco como um skate, com 4 rodas dispostas umas ao lado das outras. O patim de quatro rodas tem rodas pequenas, largas e angulares. Estes patins são empurrados para a frente ao colocar o dedo do pé no fundo e ao empurrar para a frente. Estes patins costumam estar associados aos anos 80 e 90, quando a popularidade deste modelo estava no seu auge.
Patins em linha – Um estilo de vida desportivo
Os patins em linha, ou patins comuns, têm rodas grandes que são dispostas umas à frente das outras. Estes patins podem ser usados por adultos e crianças, tanto para diversão como também para desporto, truques e corridas. É importante que a bota encaixe bem em torno do tornozelo para que tenha um suporte ótimo e para que não caia.
